Prince George’s County Invitational Cross Country Meet
The Prince George’s County Invitational (PG Invitational) is a fast growing regional cross-country meet. This meet featured a scenic but grueling course. The athletes did not have a chance to appreciate it, but they were treated to a fantastic view of the Potomac River while they ran in front of historic Fort Washington which played a part in protecting our nation’s capitol for more than 100 years. Hard work from county organizers and a quality course made for a great field of regional competitors. Dunbar High School from Washington DC was part of the competition along with Dunbar of Baltimore. Calvert County had three teams involved in the event. There was even a team from the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Queen Anne High School is the reigning 2A East Champions in Cross Country. This team has good chance to capture a State title this year.
