Gwynn Park and Northwestern High School’s Boys & Girls soccer teams scrimmaged this past Wednesday and showed why all of the teams have reasons to be hopeful this season.

Last season the Gwynn Park Girl’s Soccer team went undefeated and won the 1A/2A/3A league and lost in the county championship to Bowie High school. This year they hope to go undefeated in the league and accomplish even more. To do that Senior Casey Watson, junior T’Ana Tomlinson, junior striker Lauren Makel, senior Shanita Adams and junior Ashley Arnold will have be leaders for the team. Gwynn Park will have four Freshmen Tanisha Cardwell, Tori Deibler, Minuet Taylor and Brianna Jones on the varsity squad. Tanisha Cardwell is off to a great start she had two goals against Northwestern in the Scrimmage.
