The 6th Man Sports is an Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to instilling academic excellence, values, discipline and leadership in young student athletes. With over 11 teams ranging from 9u/3rd grade to 17u/11th grade Boys and Girls, we are on the path to becoming one of the premier organizations on the east coast.
Byron Mouton, captain of the 2002 University of Maryland National Championship team founded 6th Man Sports, then developed the 6th Man Warriors AAU organization. Byron helped lead the Terrapins to the first National Championship in the history of the university. Just as he was dedicated to the Terrapins, he is dedicated to developing young athletes both on and off the court. “Many kids are not only seeking athletic development, they are looking for guidance and personal development as well,” says Byron.
