Third Annual Crab Bowl

The Third Annual Crab Bowl was played on Saturday December 18, 2010 at Bowie State University. This game pits some the best Maryland high school football players from the Washington DC area against some of the best from the Baltimore area. Team Washington won the first two meetings but Baltimore prevailed in the 2010 match up. For high school football fans this game was a thrill the quarterbacks were very decisive with their actions whether they were sending the ball down field or tucking the ball in to run for needed yardage. The 2010 Crab Bowl was punctuated by fierce hits and good line play. Most importantly the players came together to play as a team. Prince George’s County Stand outs included DeAndre Smith Wise CB; Donte Williams Eleanor Roosevelt CB Najee Green Gwynn Park WR; Sherrod Baltimore Friendly CB; Milton Williams Frederick Douglass WR; Giovani Francois Wise DT and Michael Branthover DeMatha Catholic K/P. The 2011 Crab Bowl will be a must see.

There is still one more great high school game to see in 2010, the inaugural Chesapeake Bowl on December 30th features some of the best talent from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, DC and Virginia.
