To help fastpitch softball players reach their potential as standout players for their middle school, high school and travel teams, the Bowie Blue Jays are running one of the most comprehensive offseason workout programs in the DC/Baltimore area.
Sunday Night Softball at Washington Bible College (Lanham, MD)
Sunday evening sessions for girls 11 – 18 conducted by local high school and Bowie Blue Jays coaches at Washington Bible College’s Wagner Center gymnasium in Lanham, MD.
Each session will run from 6:00 – 8:30 pm, with coaches conducting fielding, hitting, pitching, catching and conditioning drills. The Washington Bible College gymnasium is the largest space used for softball training in the Maryland suburbs. We’ll work hard and have fun, with music, contests and other activities to keep things interesting! Sessions are on January 8, 15, 22, 29 and February 12, 19 and 26.

Saturday Hitting Sessions at Mid Atlantic Sports Academy (Millersville, MD)
Weekly group hitting sessions led by hitting instructor Allison Farrington and the Blue Jays coaches. Each session will focus on improving players’ hitting mechanics to increase their power and consistency at the plate. We’ll also work on short game skills (bunting & slapping) and hitting strategy. Cost is $150 per player for seven sessions (Jan 7, 14, 28, Feb 4, 11, 18, 25). Participants will be assigned to 90 minute sessions between 10:30 am and 2:30 pm.
