The Third Annual Tommie Smith Youth Track Meet will be held at Spingarn High School (2500 Benning Road, NE Washington, DC 20002) on Saturday, May 5th, 2012. This will be on of the most prestigious youth track and field events of the season.
This event honors Olympic Gold Medalist Tommie Smith. During the historic 19th Olympiad held in Mexico City, in the summer of 1968, Tommie Smith broke the world and Olympic records with a time of 19.83 seconds and became the 200-meter Olympic champion He will be available to sign autographs
Track & Field events start promptly at 8:30am. There will be a 3 event limit for all age categories NO DAY OF MEET REGISTRATION! Registration will be conducted through CoachO
