While the public schools were asserting themselves, DeMatha High School continued to excel winning 8 of its 19 Washington Catholic Athletic Conference Football Titles between 1998 and 2007. With more than 35 titles in the past 45 years, it is no wonder that major college recruiters can often be found in the stands for Prince George’s County football games.
Numerous County players have made it to the professional level in this sport and some have become All-Pros at their positions. You don’t have to travel to Pennsylvania or Texas to see good high school football. Support one of our County Schools on a Friday night or Saturday afternoon.
