As evidence of a growing Lacrosse community in Prince George's County there are now 9 High School Lacrosse teams in the county.  DeMatha  High School has one of the best High School Lacrosse programs in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area.

Bishop McNamara High School’s Boy’s Lacrosse and Girl’s Lacrosse programs are only in their second year.

St. Vincent Pallotti High School has more established tradition in Boy’s and Girl’s Varsity Lacrosse.

Elizabeth Seton  High School’s team is off to a 2-0 start in 2009.

Bowie High School has a Girl’s Club Lacrosse team and they too are off to an impressive start.

Eleanor Roosevelt High School also has a Girl’s Club Lacrosse Team and figures to improve as the 2009 Lacrosse Season progresses.  Eleanor Roosevelt High School has a Boy’s Club Lacrosse Team too.   The Raiders have is a very young team with more than 40% of their players in their freshman year.  This team promises to be very competitive in the Maryland Independent Lacrosse League in the coming years.   It’s is almost emblematic of the Lacrosse in the Prince George’s County with lost of promise and lots of growth lessons to learn.
