Prince George’s County Public High School track teams have more dominated this sport more than any other.  Since 1957 the County has won over 180 State Titles in Track & Field. 


Its girl’s Track and Field teams have been the most dominant with more than 100 State Titles.  

The Eleanor Roosevelt and Central High School Girl’s Track & Field teams have won more than 60 State titles between them.  

During that time Ed Bowie at Central high School has established himself as one of the best track coaches in the State winning more than 40 State Tiles in just over 30 years of coaching.

DeMatha High School is also a power in Track & Field winning the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference Boy’s Track Titles 10 times in the last 20 years.  The team won titles in 1991, 1995, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2006, and 2007. 
 
Bishop McNamara is the two time defending DCIAA champion in Indoor Track & Field.  
 
Elizabeth Seton High School won the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference Girl’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships in 2008.
