Prince George’s County has a rich tradition in football. Our county continues to produce youth football players that continue to excel as transition to High School Football players and in many instances College and Professional Football players. In youth football (9-14 years) they develop the essential skills that will make them standout football players. With such tremendous amount of talent it is easy to understand why five youth Football leagues prosper in Prince George’s County.
The five youth football leagues that operate in the County are the Prince George’s County Boys & Girls Clubs Football League; Capital Beltway Football League; Potomac Valley AAU Football League ; Pop Warner Football League ; and The Metropolitan Washington American Youth Football League. Each of these five youth football leagues has something unique to offer and as parents we will need to decide which is the right league and team for your young athletes. Even if you do not have a young athlete in your household at this time you are more than welcome by these football leagues to volunteer coach or referee.
