Prince George’s County has a number of exceptional track youth teams; New Wave, Oxon Hill, Speed Tech, Southern Maryland Eagles, Track Express, Upper Marlboro, and Vision Elite. Several county churches have high-quality track teams too.

Outstanding youth track programs make it possible for Prince George’s County high schools track teams to dominate the sport. Since 1957, Prince George’s County public high Schools won over 180 State Titles in Track & Field. DeMatha High School is also a power in Track & Field winning the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference Boy’s Track Titles 10 times in the last 20 years. Bishop McNamara is the two time defending DCIAA champions in Indoor Track & Field. Elizabeth Seton High School is the two time defending Washington Catholic Athletic Conference Girl’s Outdoor Track & Field Champions.
